Our School

Our Profile of a Graduate embodies the principles of Respect, Inspire, Support and Empower, as our Tappan Zee Dutchmen develop into responsible, engaged and compassionate individuals who contribute positively to their communities. These attributes were created in collaboration with staff, students and families.

During their time at Tappan Zee High School, students reflect on and work towards building a variety of attributes that prepare them for success in both academic and social environments.

Here are the main tools TZHS uses to communicate with families:

ParentSquare

• Automated mass messaging service that sends email, text and robocalls
• Used to remind families of upcoming events or share important information, mostly by email only
• Student families are automatically subscribed and may login to customize their accounts
• Current TZHS families who are not receiving ParentSquare notifications or who need to update contact information should call the school’s main office at (845) 680-1600
• School ParentSquare notifications are for parents of current students and staff only

TZHS Daily Announcements

• Used to share information about school news, enrichment and support opportunities and club meeting information
• Daily Announcements are automatically emailed to parents/guardians and staff who subscribe to the TZHS Announcements Group in ParentSquare and posted in the TZHS Google Classroom for students
